- Completed Schooling at Government High school in Peruvalanallur, Lalgudi, Trichy.
- Graduation: B.A. History at St. Joseph's College, Trichy

| Public Life |
- In 1991 , started his acting career making his debut in the Tamil film "PUDHU NELLU PUDHU NAATHU". Since then he has completed more than 90 films in all the South Indian languages namely Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
- Out of the 90 odd films in which Napoleon had acted, nearly 50 films had successfully completed 100 days and 5 Films were Silver Jubilee Super hit. On his 27th film "SIVALAPERI PANDI" he became a Hero in the Film Industry with a mass applause.
- Entered in to social and political life under the Chief Minister and DMK leader Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi and was elected as M.L.A. from Villivakkam Constituency in the year 2001.
- Presently he has been Elected as Member of Parliament from Perambalur Constituency and is now the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment.
